Products Currently Under Review - Lord & Berry

Eyeshadow- Mocha

Lipgloss - Skin

Lipliner - Rusty

As a beauty blogger, I get sent a lot of products and I purchase a lot of products- it is my one vice, bearing in mind I don't drink or smoke we all have them. I was thinking that I want to know what other people are trying out for the first time rather than at the end when the reviews come out so, I am going to start to post products currently under review and then of course once I manage to reach a conclusion on them will post a final review.

So, currently I am trying out these products from Lord & Berry. Lord & Berry are a brand that I do feel are underrated as it is not always the easiest brand to obtain their products. There is a bit of a theme as I love nude products and with being so busy everyday with the baby I look for products that I can just throw on without any real effort, especially when the husband is not around. When the husband is around, I do find I experiment a lot more as I have more time.

The products currently under review are as follows (I have attached links to the products for your information):

  • Seta Eyeshadow (4538) Mocha - £12.00
  • Lip Gloss (4876) Skin - £11.00
  • Ultimate lipliner (3042) Rusty - £11.00
Stay tuned for the full post in due course.

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner 063 Eastend Snob

I really struggle with Rimmel products as I am allergic to pretty much all of their eye products. So far, I have not managed to find an eye product that does not cause any adverse reactions. I would love to know why, Rimmel is the only brand I have a problem with.

So, I have to make the most of Rimmel's lip products as I can't use the rest of their products and boy oh boy their lip products are pretty good.

Eastend snob is a beautiful colour, dusky pink which I use every day and I have several, one in my baby bag, one in my car and one in my make up back - I know obsessive.

Not only do I use this as a lip liner and team up with similar colours but I use it was a full lip colour with a touch of lip balm to ensure my lips remain hydrated throughout the day. This is one colour that I would highly recommend it is simply amazing. Check this product out here and for £3.99 you really cannot refuse such an amazing bargain!!!

More Empties - July 2016

Kiko Cleansing Scrub -  I love this cleanser it is not too harsh but harsh enough so you can feel it working. I would purchase again, however this is no longer available.

I have found the link for other cleansers available from Kiko check them out here.

Kanaa Day Eye Health - This is one of my favourite eye creams currently available. I tend to like to put a lot of cream on rather than a very small dab as I really like to feel it working. I suffer from dry skin under my eyes, especially when I have used specific brands in make-up which seems to cause an adverse reaction to my skin. This helps soothes my undereye area and leaves it feeling hydrated throughout the day. I would repurchase again.

This brand is available here.

Benefit Stay Don't Stray - I am really picky about eye primers as most of them just don't work on my very oily eyelids. This is a pretty good product, although, if I am having an exceptionally oily eye day then this is not so good and my eye shadow ends up creasing which is not great. I will not be repurchasing again, as there are other products that suit my needs.

Check this product out here.

Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream - Due to the amount of travelling I have been doing I have been using all of my little mini's up and this is one of them. The facial cream is ok, nothing special. I would not be repurchasing the large size.

This product is available here.

Kanaa Hydrating Day Serum - Another great serum which has aided to keep my skin looking hydrated and brightened. This is one serum, I would purchase again.

Check out the Kanaa website here.

Sanctuary Spa Cleansing Burst Body Wash - I simply love Sanctuary Spa products they smell amazing and leave my skin feeling hydrated. I have repurchased again and will continue to do so.

Check this product out here.

L'Oreal Super Liner - I found this liner to be "clunky" which I know sounds a bit weird. The nib of the pen was just too big and I could not control it so I ended up with liner everywhere other than where it was meant to be. The colour pay off was great and the formula I love, I just did not like the nib of the pen.

This product is available here.

Sanctuary Spa Green Lemon & Orange Blossom Body Wash - Again, like the wash above the smell was just amazing and I have already repurchased again. It is such a great product that you really don't have to say much more.

Check this product out here.

The Skin System Facial Scrub - My husband has been using this product and he is not so much into having a skin care regime. However, I have encouraged him to use a facial scrub as he has to shave for work every day and at times he just has crazy outbreaks. Since using this product, I have noticed his skin has improved greatly and he has requested that I repurchase for him.

Korres Wild Rose 24 our Moisturising and Brightening Cream - This is the cream that I use when I wear absolutely no makeup. It left my skin feeling hydrated and added a small amount of glow which I thought looked very pretty for the day ahead. I would repurchase again, but have many other brightening creams to get through first. This product is available here.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser - I was not the biggest fan of this product, I am not keen on the silicon feeling the formula consists of. Although it did fill in my pores, so it has done its job and my makeup looked great for the whole day. The texture of the product is not my favourite and unfortunately, I will  not be repurchasing again. This product is available here.

Empties - July 2016

Naobay Moisturising Peeling - This is a great face wash, I used this a couple of times a week as it is quite "gritty" and sometimes my skin just cannot deal with a harsh face wash. It is a great product and I would buy it again.

This product is available here.

Soap and Glory Orangeasm Super Rich Body Butter - I am a massive fan of Soap and Glory and I have had this product for ages. However, I was not keen on the beads contained within the body butter, and quite frankly found it a bit weird. The body butter is rich and hydrating and the smell is divine. I would purchase this again, but without the strange beads contained within it.

This product is available here.

Nivea Micellar Water - Great Micellar and a good start to remove my day's make-up just before I cleanse. Its a reasonable price and with being from Nivea it's a great product. This is one that I would purchase again.

This product is available here.

Essentials Skincare Collection Ylang Ylang, Argan and Rosemary Shampoo - I simply love this shampoo, it smells amazing firstly and secondly, it does not strip my hair. This product leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and hydrating. This is one product I would purchase again.

This product is available here.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels - This is my current favourite product and and essential in my skincare stash. At present, with my lack of sleep these have been my saviour of trying to make my eyes look halfway normal. One product I would recommend for busy mums out there.

These are available here.

Nivea Cleansing Cream Wash - This is a great basic face wash, it didn't strip my face and left it feeling smooth and hydrated. I used this as part of my second cleanse on days where I wore little to no makeup. I would purchase again.

This product is available here.

Pure Potions Skin Salvation Intensive Hand Cream - If you are like me and end up washing your hands what feels like a million times a day they get pretty sore and red. This product is another one to add to the essential mum stash and a requirement and has helped to soothe my sore hands. I have already purchased another one and will continued to use.

This product is available here.

ELF Mascara - I love ELF products, however, this is not on that list. For me, this mascara did not work and I was left with those pesky black bits all over my face. I will not be purchasing again, however, there are other mascaras ELF sells which are great so have a look on their website here.

Kiko Unforgettable Mascara - I know what you are thinking, another mascara. But, I had exactly the same problem with this product as I did with the ELF product. The mascara ended up all over my face and when you a busy mother, it is the last thing I want to be worrying about. Again, Kiko has some amazing products available here.

Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche - Nuxe is one of my favourite brands and I always end up purchasing something from their counter when I pop into my local M and S. This is a great mask which leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. This product I use a couple of times a week as it is so gentle I don't experience any drying or redness. I have already bought a back up. This product is available here.

Seventeen Back Lash - I really believe Seventeen mascaras are really underrated and this one in particular was one of my favourites. It lengthened my lashes and someone actually stopped me to ask where I got my eyelash extensions done - which I had not. There was no fall out during the day or any black marks left under my eyes. I would purchase again here and it is available here.

My current beauty obsessions - July 2016

I know a lot of beauty bloggers put up their favourites each month, but sometimes I find that I don't have any current favourites or I have been using the same products for a couple months in the row or I have been digging around in my collection and using some older products rather than putting in new products that have been sent or bought.

So, my current beauty obsessions are as follows:

Vichy Laboratories Liftactiv Serum 10 - I am so addicted to Vichy products they are simply amazing and just work for me. This serum targets 10 signs of ageing whilst accelerating surface skin cell renewal.Vichy spend a lot of time researching their products to ensure it meets their customer needs. Vichy products are reasonable in price and are just perfect for my current needs.

Check out the Vichy website here.

Soap and Glory Bright Here Bright Now Instant Radiance Energy Boost Balm - With being a busy mum and being pregnant I don't have much time to faff around in the morning with foundation etc etc. My skin at present is pretty good (must be pregnancy hormones) and I love having a glowing complex so this is an ideal base for me. This product brightens and illuminates, minimises lines / wrinkles together with providing moisture to my skin for the day. This is a great product and one I would recommend to busy mothers who just don't have time.

Check out this product here.

ELF Studio 3 in 1 Mascara - This is one of my current favourite mascaras it lengthens and volumises my lashes. I sometimes just apply a bit of the Soap and Glory Bright Here Bright Now and a bit of mascara and I am done for the day. There is no clumping or fall out which is perfect so I don't have to worry continually throughout the day of my mascara being on my face or those annoying black bits being under my eyes.

Check out the ELF website here.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc - This product is my current pregnancy requirement, I have been suffering from "pregnancy sweats" which is not very attractive I know but, it is just one of the side effects of being pregnant and it is rubbish. I have been using this product, just to refresh my face a couple times over the day and it has made me feel so much better.

Check this product out here.

Collection Little Mix Love All About The Eyes Palette - I have not used this palette for some time and found it a couple of weeks ago when I was having a tidy up. I have not stopped using it since my rediscovery. It's a great palette for those of you who like a simple eye look for the day and you could easily convert your day look to an evening look with using the darker shades within the palette. This is one palette I would recommend especially when the palette is reasonable priced.

Transformulas Lip Volume

I am not usually a fan of lip plumpers. I find them uncomfortable, and I usually dislike the texture and feeling they leave. However, Transformulas have the ideal product and it is almost like putting on a clear lip gloss / lip balm. There is no tingling, no discomfort and no dodgy texture left behind.

Transformulas aim is to ensure there is a quick fix, without having to resort to painful injections. The formula contains a combination of moisturising and volumising ingredients which make your lips look smooth and soft.

The wand within the applicator is one of my favourites as it applies easily without any mess and all you need to do is follow your natural lip line (like you would do when you apply a lip liner) and then you fill in the rest of the lip area as you would do when applying a gloss / balm. It does warn that you may feel a slight tingle (I did not) and then you are left with a minty taste (no sting!!). Transformulas recommends you apply the product up to three times a day for 30 days and you can apply over your favourite lip colour- but, you need to bear in mind that it will not be as effective.

I continue to use this product everyday and simply love it, it is now part of my skincare / make up routine without any hassle.

Transformulas are a great brand who strive to provide amazing beauty products without having to resort their customers to surgery. They are passionate about finding ground breaking formulas backed by scientific evidence.

Why pick Transformulas?
  • Products really work
  • Top quality products
  • 100% customer satisfaction
  • Advance technology used
I know at £29.95 you may find this quite expensive, but you use so little that it is worth paying a bit more. Check out Transformulas website here.

Essentials Skincare Collection Wipes

I am not usually a big fan of wipes. I find they dry my skin out and I am a big fan of cleansers and usually find they remove my days makeup more then a wipe. Don't get me wrong wipes certainly have their place.

Since having a baby and now pregnant with another (I know I must be crazy) wipes have become my best friend and I pretty much use them for everything. These wipes have been a life saver and if you are a busy mother then I would highly recommend you purchase these. They are now a permanent fixture in my baby bag and I use them on a daily basis. They are not drying and are just perfect for my needs at the moment. I recently went away and because I was having those "pregnancy sweats" - so attractive, I used the cleansing wipes to refresh my face and they were just a life saver. I am also going to purchase a packet to go in my hospital bag - that is how much I love them! The two wipes that are currently are available are:

- Tea tree oil & aloe vera body care wipes
- Green tea and aloe vera soothing cleansing wipes

Green tea and aloe vera soothing cleansing wipes
  • ideal for all skin types
  • lifts dirt from the skin in a one step refresh to remove make up and dirt
  • aloe vera and green tea soothe and nourish skin
  • olus oil moisturises the skin
  • alcohol and perfume free

Tea tree oil & aloe vera body care cleansing wipes
  • ideal for all skin types
  • natural antiseptic
  • tea tree oil cleanses and removes bacteria
  • aloe vera leaves the skin feeling cool and calm
  • vegan friendly
  • alcohol and artificial fragrance free
Both of these wipe are £3.30 which is a bargain and you get 25 wipes in each pack. In addition, the wipes are:
  • 100% viscose biodegradable
  • paraben and MIT free
  • Ph balanced
What I love about this brand, and I have banged on about it on many occasions is their expertise and continued development to meet their customer needs / requirements.

Check out the website here for other amazing products, you will not be disappointed!

Facial Attraction Haul - July 2016

I have recently come back from a week in Lincolnshire and I did drag my husband to Skegness to visit one of my favourite shops Facial Attraction. It is a shop I stumbled on a few years back and it is the type of shop that you need to spend time looking around as there is that much. They offer a variety of different products some at very reasonable prices. Check out Facial Attraction details here.

Here is the products that purchased during my recent visit......

Almay Eye Makeup Remover Wipes

Bare Minerals Tapered Shadow & Blush Brush

Bourjois Universal Illuminating Powder

L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Universal Glow Beautifier

Technic Pro Face Brush

Technic Pro Blending Brush

Latest In Beauty Box - July 2016

I simply adore the Latest In Beauty website, especially where you can build your own beauty box. You have the opportunity to pick from three size boxes. The first is where you pick three products (£8.99), six products (£12.99) or nine products (£16.99). I have to confess I do check the website regularly and usually purchase six products - but, my advice to you is to have a look at what products are available and that may aid your decision. Check the website out here.

So, I picked out the following products (although I am not sure why I was given seven products????? by the Latest in Beauty team:

Heaven by Deborah Mitchell Age Defiance Cream

L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara

Heaven by Deborah Mitchell Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel

Rodial Stemcell Super-food Glam Balm Multi

Melvita Extraordinary Oil

Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream

Rodial Stem Cell Cleansing Cream
