Daily Beauty Products (Friday 29 May 2015)

Bare Minerals Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser - Can I first say, I adore exfoliating cleansers. When I first tried them out it was a bit strange that I was putting a powder into my hands and then using water to make it into a cream then applying to my face, but it really works and I now cannot live without an exfoliating cleanser in my daily skin routine. With that in mind, I am always willing to try new ones from different brands as I have found there are not that many around. When I was perusing the Bare Minerals website and saw this I just had to have it.

The product gently exfoliates and cleanses your skin, which aids new removing the old skin cells. In turn this helps reduce pores as it unclogs the dirt and grime built up in them and leaves my skin looking radiant and smooth. You would think that this would be harsh on your skin, and with my sensitive skin I was initially reluctant, but no, it is amazing and my skin has never felt tight or dehydrated after use - so, my advice is for everyone to just give it a try.

It is a bit pricy at £19.00, but you need such little product as once you add water it increases in volume that it is worth splashing out. This product is available here. The packaging is beautiful and luxurious and I feel that it was money well spent. I would recommend this product to all.

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 27 May 2015)

Barrie M Make Me Blush - Barry M have bought out a load of new products it is almost like they have had an overhaul of their products and they do not disappoint.

My only two criticism are:

1 the packaging looks cheap and a little tacky.

2 there are no details of what colour this product is on the back.

I believe Barry M products are great quality and affordable but there are a couple of quirks that at times let the product down. I am going to checking out the rest of the new product so stay tuned !

Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 26 May 2015)

Kiehls Ultra Facial Cleanser - I am not too sure where I have been, but I have never ever tried any products from the Kiehl's range. I know what you are all thinking "where has she been", so, I was pleased to find this sample product in my Selfridges exclusive box. I love a good cleanser and I do certainly get through them. I also do not have a favourite, I just tend to use whatever is available, so always willing to try anything new. Well, this certainly did not disappoint. When I first tried it, I was taken aback by the slight silicon feel of the product but once applied my concerns were soon forgotten. It gently lifted all my makeup and day's grime and left my face feeling smooth, clean and hydrated. I am not going to be checking out other products within this brand as it has definitely left me wanting more so well done Kiehls, great product! This cleanser is available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Monday 25 May 2015)

B. Sweet Popping Candy Highlighting Serum - I love the concept and quirkiness of this product. I originally thought that this would provide a glowing look to my complexion. However, I am still uncertain as to my view on this product. When this product comes out it looks as though it has split, so I did mix it together with my brush which looked more promising.

The product applies beautifully, but, there was not much glow / highlighting which is what I would have expected which left me disappointed. I am going to keep using it to see whether I can make the product work in another way, but unfortunately, it was not what I had expected. This product is available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Saturday 23 May 2015)

Maybelline Nudes - I love a good eyeshadow palette and Maybelline have the eye for colours to make a great palette.

I think this palette is great for people who may be afraid of colour but also great for transition from day to night and you can get a great smoky eye. Also, on the back of the packaging it gives you ideas for 13 looks which is ideal if you are not too confident with how to use the palette. I hope Maybelline produce a few more palettes soon. This palette costs £9.99 and is available now!

Daily Beauty Products (Friday 22 May 2015)

L'Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss (103 Protest Queen) - These were brand new into the high street and yet again L'Oreal have done a brilliant job with this new lip gloss. The formula is rich and not sticky and leaves your lips hydrated and looking amazing. It contains hyaluronic acid which will assist with retaining moisture so your lips do not dry out throughout the day.

But, my favourite thing about this product is the applicator which is heart shape. I was not convinced at first but the application was even and there was no wasted product. This is definitely a well thought through product and packaging. The packaging is simply but I love that L'Oreal have not overcomplicated it. There are many colours, it is worth checking out your local L'Oreal counter now.

Daily Beauty Products (Thursday 21 May 2015)

Nars Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliner - I really struggle with eye liner it does not stay my eyes get all watery and it just ends in a mess, so I just don't bother.

However, I have found the answer to my issues and this long wear eyeliner is just amazing. It stayed on all day without me looking like a panda. The colour is a true black and the application was smooth and did not drag across my eye.

I do not need to say much about Nars packaging because it is simply but luxurious. I love that to sharpen the pencil you simply twist the pencil so no messing around with sharpeners. Love it!!!

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 20 May 2015)

Sleek Matte Me (Petal) - Sleek is definitely a brand that I adore. The brand to me seems passionate about providing excellent make-up products but at an affordable price. This product did not disappointment. I love the pink / nude shade and although it is matte in formula it was not drying on the lips. The applicator is perfect in providing one coat without any dramas. I am going to be having a look at the other colours available within this range because at £4.99 it was a bargain. This product is available on the Sleek website.

Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 19 May 2015)

Lush Honey Washed the Kids - I am not usually a fan of soaps as they dry my skin out and leave my skin feeling tight and dehydrated. However, this soap is amazing and as always because it is made by Lush who really know their stuff when it comes to skin care I can use this particular one which soothes and softens my skin.

The scent is beautiful and caramel almost like you are washing in dessert. Lush have also been ingenious and have added mood brightening sweet wild orange and bergamot oils as well as soothing properties of aloe vera and honey. This is one I would recommend if you suffer with dry skin. Available now at all Lush stores.

May 2015 Empties

My husband continues to question why I keep hold of empty beauty packages and continues to questions as to why I am keeping hold of rubbish. I love reading and watching empties blog post and / or videos as I believe it is the only time when you can tell when someone likes a product and whether they were would be repurchased. So here are my rubbish / beauty empties:

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm - I have to say I was not overly keen on this product, it was far too pigmented for my taste for a lip balm. On the plus side, it did keep my lips soft and hydrated so I will be having a look at the others within the range.

Caudalie Serum - I love this product and I will be purchasing the full size version. It is a great hydrating serum, although I did prefer to use this in the morning as it was a great base for my day's make-up. One I would recommend for you all to try.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser - This product I did love however, on some days I felt it was to "Silicon like" for my skin, so on that particular day I turned to a lighter primer. It is great if you are on a budget and it kept my day's make up looking fresh. I do not think I would be in a hurry to purchase.

Malin and Goetz Grapefruit Face Cleanser - Great reliable cleanser, I loved the simple  packaging. Cleaned my face of my day's makeup and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. I definitely want to look at other products within this brand.

Estee Lauder Revitalising Supreme Anti-Aging Cream - All I can say is I LOVE IT!!!

Eau Thermale Avenue Thermal Spring Water - I love using these sprays first thing in the morning and just after getting out of the shower, I certainly provides a little wake up call to my face. I also carry this around in my handbag to  provide a little freshener, especially when I am "glowing".

Loreal Micellar Gel Make-up Remover - Great product to remove all make-up, including waterproof mascara. Little goes a long way. Did take some getting used to with using a gel rather than water, however, I do think this product lasted longer than a micellar water. One, I would purchase again.

Nivea Extra Gentle Eye Make-up Remover - Another product I really do not need to say much about other than, reliable and does exactly what it says on the bottle.

Yes to Grapefruit Brightening Facial Wipes - If you have to use face wipes, these are the ones you should purchase. These are my emergency wipes, so it takes me ages to get through them. I love this brand and they have some amazing products.

Soap and Glory Orangeasm Body Wash - Soap and Glory are such an amazing and reliable brand and yes, I have again repurchased - but, who would not!

Daily Beauty Products (Saturday 16 May 2015)

Clinique Custom Repair Serum - Ok, you all may be thinking is she being sponsored by Clinique as another one of my beauty picks is from the brand.

Although this is a sample size, it has encouraged me to go and purchase the full size sample. The technology that Clinque have invested into this product is just mind blowing. The serum is able to adapt to my past skin history and help to even my skin tone. It also firms the skin. I love the fact it provides a great base for my days make up.

I acknowledge the price starting from £48.00 is a bit steep. But, I am mindful at the amount of technology and research that has been put into this product definitely makes it worth the price. Go and check out your local Clinique counter now!!

Daily Beauty Products (Friday 15 May 2015)

Nspar Melting Cleansing Gel - If you are going to do your local shop, I would suggest you pop into your local ASDA. Their beauty range is amazing and the type of different products available will surprise you. I was needing a new cleansing gel when I stumbled across this one. I have been using it around two weeks and I simply love it.

Now, one thing about my skin is that it can be very sensitive, but I have had no reaction as this cleanser is gentle but effective in dissolving my day's makeup away. This product contains great products such as grapeseed oil, ginseng (moisturiser) vitamin e, avocado, apricot and neroli oils. This is one to stay on all of your radar and is available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Thursday 14 May 2015)

Neal and Wolf Guard Heat Protection - I have never heard of this brand before but as a beauty blogger I am always willing and excited when I stumble across brands that I have never heard of or tried.

I always use heat protection spray, I am not really fussy about which brand just as long as I have a bottle in my stash. The product defends your hair from heat damage whilst the Meadow foam seed oil provides your hair with a glossy and smooth finish, it does this by retaining the moisture which you would otherwise lose during styling. I do like the product and it has done exactly what it says and left my hair feeling soft and hydrated which I love but, at £11.50 I am not sure whether it is really worth the money when there are other products on the high street. I must stress I do really like the product and the packaging oozes luxury but do I want all of that when all I want is for it to provide protection. I am definitely going to be looking at the other products in Neal and Wolf range which is available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 13 May 2015)

Clinique high impact mascara (black) - I am simply loving this mascara at the moment and it does everything that it says on the tin. This is the first Clinique mascara I have ever used and all it has done is encourage me to try more.

The brush grips all of your eyelashes and provides an even coat of mascara which means that your eyelashes look nice and thick and provides length. This mascara you can build for even more dramatic lashes for an evening look. In addition, it separates your lashes so you don't get the "clumped look".

The bonus I have found with this product is its durability. I have worn this all day and by the end of the day it still looks like I have put on a fresh coat. The mascara costs £17.50 and is worth every penny. It is available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 12 May 2015)

Sanctuary Spa Green Lemon and Orange Blossom Hand Lotion - What I did not realise when I was shopping in Boots was the variety of scents now available within the Sanctuary range. I picked this particular one as I was intrigued by the combination of Green Lemon and Orange Blossom and boy, it is a beautiful scent. The good thing the scent is subtle and not overpowering. The lotion is rich and hydrating and leaves my hands feeling smooth and soft.  The additional bonus is the amount of product you get which is amazing for the £5.00 you pay. Go and have a look now in your local Boots !

Daily Beauty Products (Monday 11 May 2015)

Creightons Volume Pro Shampoo and Conditioner - I have to say this is a brand I am loving at the moment and I think the brand definitely needs to start doing some bragging at the amazing products they have.

I was asked to try these out and with my limp lifeless hair, I was excited to see whether it could provide body and bounce to my hair. These both retained the moisture and was not stripping at all. It did add extra texture and body which I simply loved. The products did not weigh my hair down and left it looking shiny and most importantly healthy. So, I think the team at Creightons need to give themselves a pat on their backs as what amazing products and for £1.99 you cannot really refuse to buy them. Both of these products are available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Sunday 10 May 2015)

Nail HQ Strengthener / Cuticle Oil / Growth- As I typically do my own gel nails, I do find that although the look amazing when they are done, my nails need some serious prep work to ensure they remain as healthy as possible. Using these three products have been my saviour and have made my manicure last and look amazing for longer.

The cuticle oil helped to provide hydration and additional moisture to my nail and cuticle oil. This oil is non greasy and softens dry skin. It contains Jojoba oil, Apricot Kernel oil, Beta-Carotene together with Vitamin E, A and D3. This has helped to prevent cracking and peeling.

The growth nail treatment contains Biotin, Acqua-Biomin, Calcium, Vitamin A and D which aids with normalising nail growth. This treatment helps to provide moisture balance to have flexible nails and prevent brittleness and breakage.

The strengthener provides an intensive treatment with complex of alpha hydroxyl acids, Keratin and Multi-fruit. This product has been simply amazing and has helped to strengthen my weak and soft nails and has helped to improve the growth.

I do think this is a brand to watch and I would highly recommend all three products as I believe you will find a use for them. These products are available here.

Daily Beauty Product (Saturday 9 May 2015)

Makeup Revolution Mini Brush Set- I bought these as I was due to stay for a couple of nights in London and to be quite honest I was fed up of taking all my brushes normal sized brushes.

I found use for all four brushes and the quality is pretty good for the price point -£4.99.
I do believe Makeup Revolution are really striving in the drug store market and continually to evolve.
If you are going shopping today, it would be my recommendation to just stick your head into Superdrug and purchase these beauties.

These are a must have go buy them now !

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 6 May 2015)

Bourjois Nude Sensation - I have been reading a lot of great reviews about this product over the past few weeks and felt that it was a product that I had to try. I am not really into heavy foundations and I do like my skin to look natural and this product is perfect and suits all of my needs. It is light, mousse consistency, easily blendable and gives a beautiful glow and even look. I know some people would potentially have an issue with this product being in a pot and you having to continually dip your fingers in, but I can move on from that. I simply dab it across my face and then use a damp beauty blender to blend it all in. I would highly recommend this product and at £10.00 it is simply a bargain. This product is available here.
