Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 31 March 2015)

LOreal le concealer true match (Vanilla) -If you are needing to buy a new concealer I would suggest you to have a look at the LOreal ones. The formula is rich and creamy and covers a multitude of sins without looking cakey. I have been using this on my dark under eye area and it has evened out the bluish tinge. I have been loving the fact that it has seriously improved my complexion.

The packaging is nice and simple and it has the usual applicator as you would usually expect. This is one essential for your makeup bag!! You can purchase this product for £6.99 at the Boots website.

Daily Beauty Product (Monday 30 March 2015)

Image result for picture of cosmetic stands

Today, I am sorry but there is going to be no daily beauty products but have felt the need to write this post / rant about high street drug stores. I am getting fed up of going into Boots and Superdrug and the stands looking like a bomb has hit them.

I completely get that the staff in the shops are continually battling with customers who go in and seem to want to put their complete face of makeup on using the products without purchasing them and opening products instead of using the testers. However, over the past few weeks I have noticed the deterioration in the stands with products not being available (despite them being in the secret drawers underneath, and yes, I have been rummaging in the drawers to find said product). I know I am sad but I have spent some time even tidying the stand (I do have a full time job, but just cannot bear to see the mess). I am sure each of the cosmetic companies would be disappointed to see their products either not on on the empty stands or the stands looking in such poor condition it puts customers off from purchasing their items.

I think that we should all take a stand and if we see a cosmetic stand in a poor way we should name and shame the stores including details of the cosmetic company so they realise what is actually going on, on the shop floor.

As I said,  I completely understand that sales assistants are fighting a losing battle especially on a Saturday afternoon but I was in one particular store and I spied two sales assistants gossiping about their evening for at least 15 minutes doing pretty much nothing when they could have gone round the stands checking they are fully stocked and clean.

I understand that as a customer we are not paying high prices for the products, but I do not find it acceptable at how the standards have deteriorated which has led to me having to tidy up stands, and I have also spied other customers having to do the same.

I would like to plead with both Boots and Superdrug to encourage their customers to name and same stores that have stands that are in a poor way. I understand that you have deliveries on specific days and a team of staff on particular days attending to ensure that the stands are fully stocked but what happens the rest of the week. I think it is unacceptable that whilst I am in your stores I end up cleaning up mess that your staff members should be doing.

Daily Beauty Product (Sunday 29 March 2015)

Indeed Facial Powdered Exfoliator - As you all know, I am a big fan of Indeed Labs products, they suit my skin down to the ground. I was looking for a new daily exfoliator product and I stumbled upon this product in boots.

The exfoliator contains bamboo extract, rich bran powder, Okinawa red algae, hyaluronic acid and pineapple enzymes which are all great for your skin. All you need to do with this product is to add a small amount of water which activates the powder and small particles gently exfoliates which helps to smooth the skin and remove any dead skin cells which leaves my skin looking amazing.

I do believe this is a hidden gem in the high street drug stores and one that all should try, it is available on the Boots website and costs £18.99.

Daily Beauty Product (Saturday 28 March 2015)

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist - I am really into facial mists at the moment I have no idea why. I have been using this for a little while, I especially love it first thing in the morning to wake my skin up and prepare it for the day.

The scent is so subtle and the mist provides the much needed hydration. Jurlique is a brand that I feel is often forgotten about, but I think more people should look into the brand as they have some amazing products on offer.

The packaging oozes class and looks beautiful and the weight of the bottle just adds simply luxury. This product starts from £18.00 and is available on Jurlique website.

Daily Beauty Product (Friday 27 March 2015)

Nuxe Reve de Miel Baume Levres - lip balm - I simply love this lip balm. Ok, I know it costs more than your regular lip balm but it is definitely worth the money. You can actually feel it working and provides amazing hydration. It is ideal for an evening when you have taken off your makeup and it will repair and protect the lips from the days wear and tear. The balm has honey and precious oils which soothes dry / chapped lips.

This is an highly recommended product and is available on the Nuxe website for £9.50.

Daily Beauty Products (Thursday 26 March 2015)

Maybelline Colour Drama (630 Nude Perfection) - I am loving a nude lip at the moment, so I have been using this lip pencil from Maybelline over the past few weeks. I believe that this is being compared to the NARs pencils.

They come in a great variety of colours and the packaging looks sleek and simple. I do love this pencil although, I do find it drying on my lips at times so add some lip balm to ensure my lips remain hydrated. The pencil is a creamy texture and applies beautifully to the lips so it is a great high street dupe to bear in mind. In addition, at £4.99 you cannot argue that yet again, Maybelline are providing a product that is value for money. The pencils are available on the Boots website.

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 25 March 2015)

17 Peep Show Mascara (Black) - Can I say I do forget just how good 17 mascara's are. For their price and the fact 17 is a drug store brand they are pretty impressive and the vast selection of different types is very good.

I have been using this mascara for a couple of weeks and it is very good. The brush is busy with bristles which ensures every lash is coated. The brush is enriched with fibre which means it clings to your lashes which adds volume and length. The packaging is so unique and 17 always try to provide a good quality product in good quality packaging but at a great price.

One of the things I have learnt from reading other blogger reviews on mascara is that is such a personal thing your preference to different mascara's so this is my personal opinion I would suggest giving it a try or having a look at other mascara's available within the range. This mascara costs £4.00 and is available on the Boots website.

Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 24 March 2015)

Creightons Extra Moisturising Shampoo - I have to say when I was first asked to try these products I was a little reluctant. But, as an avid beauty junkie I had to give it a go.

The shampoo rehydrates and helps dry / damaged blonde hair. It did leave my hair feeling clean and added the extra shine which I was impressed by. It did not strip my hair and left it feeling soft. But, there are two things I really dislike about these products. One is the scent it does not smell great, it smells very plastic like and the second issue is that it discoloured my bath (which was easily cleaned up) but was a little surprising to see.

Creightons Intensive Care Conditioner - This helped to improve the condition of my hair and the conditioner was rich in pro-vitamin B5 and E which helps to replenish moisture. In addition, it assists with fighting against daily styling and heat.

Creightons Keratin Pro 2 minute super smooth treatment - I love this product, but again, the smell is not great but its not bad for me to stop using the product. It helped reduce the frizz and in addition it meant that I did not have to use the straighteners which was a bonus. It was a great finish to washing and conditioning my hair.

Now, the interesting part. All of these products are available at Poundland. Yes, all of these products would cost £3.00 which is an absolute bargain. I do feel that people are becoming more amenable to shopping in Poundland or the 99p shop and people have become more open minded about savvy about their shopping. I do think that if was on a tight budget these products are a great buy.

Daily Beauty Products (Monday 23 March 2015)

L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Gel - This was an accidental purchase, I thought this was the travel version of the Skin Perfection Micellar Water. So, I was a little surprised when I tried to use it that very evening. The bonus of this product is little goes a long way so you only need a very small amount on your cotton pad to remove your day's makeup.

The gel is gentle, soothing and refreshing and provides excellent hydration and soothes your skin after the day of dirt, grime and makeup.

I also suffer from very sensitive eyes which can cause stinging when I use particular products and this gel is suitable for sensitive eyes and for contact lense wearers. This product costs £3.99 and is available in your local Boots store.

Daily Beauty Products (Friday 20 March 2015)

Maybeline Expert Wear Blush (79 Flash Plum) - I was having a tidy up the other day and I had completely forgotten about this blush. This is a beautiful subtle plum shade, I do not think that the colour in the pan does it justice as to the colour pay off you have once you apply it to your cheeks. The blush is long wearing and soft in texture. I would have to say this is a hidden gem from Maybelline and a definite one for your shopping list. The blush costs £5.19 and is available on the Superdrug website

Daily Beauty Product (Thursday 19 March 2015)

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum Complexion Correcting - Warning, I have found a new amazing serum warning!!

I have recently run out of my trustee serum from Vichy and was looking to try another serum and I found this in my stash. I kind of knew that I was going to love this as everything else I have tried from Caudalie I have loved and it is a great brand who really know their stuff.

The serum is a great start to my day as it is an excellent base to my days makeup and it evens my skin tone and evens out the imperfections. It has provided a boost to hydration to my dry skin and has made my complexion look brighter.

I am definitely going to be purchasing the full size which at £45.00 is not cheap but it really does work. The serum is available on the Caudalie website.

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 18 March 2015)

Sleek Blush (Flamingo 937) - Oh my, this blush is simply beautiful. Now, don't be scared by the colour in the pan. Once you have blended it on your cheeks, the colour pay off simply adds a rosy glow to your complexion and instantly brightens your face. The blush is highly pigmented and gives you an excellent colour pay off.

The packaging is simple and elegant and of course because it is from Sleek it looks expensive but at £4.49 is excellent value for money.

I think this is one of my favourite blush colours at the moment on the High Street. This blush is available at the Sleek website now.

Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 17 March 2015)

B. Clean Melting Gel Cleanser - B. is a brand that is often forgotten about. I happened to be in Superdrug the other day looking for a new cleanser and stumbled upon this product from the B. range.

I have to confess that when I first put this on my face, I was a little freaked out as the gel is thick in consistency, it is almost mask like but, once you add water it turns into a beautiful milky cleanser. It definitely takes all of your day's makeup, dirt and grime that has built up during the day and leaves your skin feeling hydrated and plump. It is a product that I would only use in the evening because of the heavy formula.

Would I purchase again, yes, I would and as you all know Superdrug always have amazing offers so you potentially will always get this product with money off. This product is priced at £6.99 Superdrug website.

Daily Beauty Products (Sunday 15 March 2015)

Nars Lip Gloss (Orgasm) - At the moment, I am in love with this lip gloss, it is bordering on obsessive. It is a beautiful nude colour (tinted with peach) with a slight hint of shimmer. It is non-sticky and feels so comfortable to wear. I sometimes wear it on its own or team it over a lipstick it looks beautiful either way. The gloss contains vitamin E which leaves my lips feeling smooth and hydrated. This lip gloss is available at NARS website

Daily Beauty Product (Saturday 14 March 2015)

T London Darjeeling hand and body lotion - I found this little beauty in either a birch box or glossy box and it is a beautiful rich lotion. It contains jojoba oils which softens the skin and aloe oils will moisturise. I have to be honest this is the first time I have heard from the company and having a look at their website there are some amazing products available which I will be looking at. This product is available for £18.00 at the T-London website now.

Daily Beauty Products (Friday 13 March 2015)

Makeup Revolution London Ultra Blush Palette (all about pink) - When I initially saw this palette on line it looked beautiful and then when it arrived oh my it is so beautiful and there is a colour for everyone. The blushes are smooth and highly pigmented and so blendable. It is a perfect palette to take away on holiday with the assorted colour selection. The palette is £6.00 which is ridiculous as there are eight blush colours which is value for money.

This palette is available at Makeup Revolution online shop.

Daily Beauty Products (Thursday 12 March 2015)

Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi Action Foam Cleanser / Purifying Mask - I received this sample size in the Estee Lauder Christmas collection box and was looking forward to trying this multi purpose product out.

The formula is creamy and lather up quickly into a rich foaming cleanser. There is a hint of rose scent to the cleanser which is not overpowering but subtle. This product can take your days makeup off but I do that initially with a micellar water and then use this to remove any dirt / grime or left over makeup that I have missed. I have to say I love the fact this cleanser leaves my skin "squeeky" clean and smooth ready for the rest of my night time routine. It is my preference to use this in the evening. I would recommend this product for all, even my dry skin loves it and feels hydrated afterwards.

The packaging is so chic and simple which I just adore. The product costs £22.00 and is available on the Estee Lauder website now.

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 11 March 2015)

Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder Candlelight - Can I first say when you first look at this powder it does not scream much. However, this powder is so beautiful and provides an elegant and subtle glow to your face. I especially love to use this under my eyes.

This powder is suitable for all skin types and will provide a non-glittery glow to give you face a healthy radiance. The packaging is luxious and compact and it simply oozes high end product. I even use this when I am having a non-makeup day just to finish my look off. Now, the thing I have been avoiding is the price it is £35.00 but boy, is it worth it. This product is available at Space NK.

MUA (Makeup Academy Professional - Ever After - This is a matte 10 eye shadow palette is excellent value for money if you have a limited budget or if your daughters are bothering you to use your makeup as it is only £4.00. There is a mix of warm and cool shades which means you can do a variety of looks from a subtle day look to a glam smokey eye for the evening.

The shadows are easily blendable and there is some fall out but nothing major. The shadows leave a soft finish which looks amazing for such a reasonable price. This palette is available at MUA store now.

Daily Beauty Products (Monday 9 March 2015)

Sanctuary Spa Blemish Serum - I have been using this over the last few weeks. I especially like using this serum in the morning as I feel it sets me up for the day. This serum targets blemishes which assists to calm, control and aid recovery to any blemishes.

The serum is in gel consistency and due to the Salycylic acid assists with opening clogged pores and neutralises bacteria. In addition, it helps to shrink pores and prevent clogging in the future.

I would recommend this product, but I will only use it for a short period to treat the blemishes I have. It is also great value for money at £10.00 and a great product.

Check out Sanctuary Spa website for details.

Daily Beauty Products (Thursday 5 March 2015)

Collgen London - I was so excited to trial both of these products out as I had not heard about Collgen London before. Collgen are committed to providing revolutionary anti-ageing products. Collgen use Triple Helix Formula. Triple Helix Formula is derived from marine sources and goes through a unique enzymatic process which breaks down the collagen molecules which are bioactive (readily absorbed by the body).

Collgen London Firming Day Cream - Initially, I was a little cautions about using this product and did question whether it was all hype and whether it would be suitable for my dry / sensitive skin. The texture is rich and beautifully coats my skin in the morning leaving it prepared and ready for my day's makeup. Just a side note, it is an amazing base for your daily makeup.

At the moment, my skin has problematic dry patches due to the very cold weather, this cream provided a great source of hydration and firmed my skin for the day ahead.

Collagen Regenerating Night Cream - I am really fussy about night creams and I look for a thick and luxurious night cream and this ticks all of the boxes. When I applied this, it soothed the day's wear and tear away and provided my sensitive / dry skin with some comfort. The night cream stimulates collagen during the night when my skin is at its most receptive to repair.

I love the fact this cream was so intense, it provided a much needed overnight boost to my skin and helped to repair and even the tone of my skin.

The packaging for both of these products is very chic. What I really valued was the detailed information on the box of what would be expected from the product which yes, did do all of them. The jar is beautifully classic and feels expensive.

Now the price, each of these creams are £49.00 which sounds expensive. But, I think both of these creams are investment pieces and because you use such a small amount it will last a long time. I would definitely recommend to you if you need a new day / night cream. Check out http://www.collgen.co.uk/collections/anti-ageing-range for all of the products and for Collgen other products.

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 4 March 2015)

Dainty Doll Blusher (00 Hippy Shake) - I love this blush it is such an usual colour blush and that was what was drawn to me purchasing it. I have not seen nothing like it before.

What I love about this product is how buildable the blush is so you can go from subtle to making a feature of the cheeks. The blush is heavily pigmented or long lasting coverage.

The blush is rich in vitamin A, C and E which helps to even out skin tone.

I love the packaging for Dainty Doll it is sleek and simple which I love because you know then the brand is concentrating purely on the product within the pan. Check out http://daintydoll.com/products/face for more details.

Daily Beauty Product (Tuesday 3 March 2015)

L'Oreal Paris Mega Volume Miss Manga Punky - You all must think that I am having a bad week with disliking products. Well, I have to say unfortunately, I did dislike this mascara, I really wanted to like it but no it just does not work for me.

This mascara is meant to provide intense, spiky effect to both the top and bottom lashes, the problem I had was that the product seemed to clump in one specific part of my eye lashes and was extremely difficult to move around to coat my eyelashes evenly. I do think the brush needs to have deeper spikes to enable the product to be easily applied rather than "dolopped" that is the only word I can use to describe it.

I am sorry L'Oreal but it is just not my cup of tea.

This product is available now check out www,loreal-paris.co.uk for £8.99.

Daily Beauty Products (Monday 2 March 2015)

Marks and Spencer Autograph Pure Luxe Multi-Blusher - I was so excited to see this product when I was in my local M & S and had to purchase it immediately. The colour is beautiful especially with the marble effect and I thought the coral colour would be beautiful now we are heading towards the Spring months.

I am not one for being negative about beauty products, because some of them just don't work for me, but for others it may be perfect. However, this blusher's colour pay off is quite poor and you do have to build a lot to be able to establish some colour on your cheeks. I do think that this product would benefit from being in a bigger pan. The box the product comes in is pretty but for £12.50 the packaging does look cheap and I do feel this needs some work.

I have used the product as a brow highlight and inner eye highlight which looked pretty but I do feel spending £12.50 is not value for money.

This product is available at www.marksandspencer.com
