Daily Beauty Products (Sunday 1 March 2015)

Collection Deluxe Lipstick (03 Charleston) - I believe these are new to Collection (correct me if I am wrong). I simply love the colour of this lipstick it is an affordable great nude (brown). The lipstick contains shea butter and is rich with Vitamin E so ideal for these winter days as it left my lips beautifully soft. The texture is creamy and actually feels like it should be more expensive then it is. Great job Collection !!!

This lipstick cots £3.99 available at www.collectioncosmetics.co.uk

Daily Beauty Product (Saturday 28 February 2015)

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray - I have been an avid user of Mac Fix + for a number of months. I know a lot of the beauty bloggers have been using this product for years and I am slow to jump on the band wagon. I bought this in the travel size as I do not always use a setting spray and I was not sure whether I was going to like it or not.

This product states that it gives your makeup staying power and looks like you have just applied it which I have to agree. It did ensure my makeup stayed put all day and in the evening.

Urban Decay have used temperature control technology which means that even when it is hot and humid or cold / windy your makeup will stay in place.

I do think I would purchase again, but I will again buy in the travel size as I do not use enough of the product to really buy the bigger size. In addition, I will alternate using this with the Mac Fix + as I do love both of these products.

I think that if you have never used a setting spray this is a great start to see whether you like it or not. This size costs £9.00 check out www.urbandecay.com for more details.

Daily Beauty Products (Friday 27 February 2015)

L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24 hour Matte Foundation - Have you noticed over the past few weeks the drug store has been a hive of activity for new products. All of the brands we know and love in the drug stores are making attempts to out do one another in an attempt to get us to spend our hard earned cash.

L'Oreal had had an explosion of new products on their shelves. We have all probably have seen the teasers from America and have been waiting for the products to finally launch in the UK. This is one of the products that I have been waiting for. I love foundations that come in a tube, which I know sounds strange but they are so easy to travel with and you can control the amount of product you use.

I have been using this product for the last couple of weeks, and it is lightweight and "non-cakey" as it states on the packaging. It provides a high coverage with a matte finish. I love the fact that it evens out my skin tone and covers the redness on my face. The only small criticism is, is that it does cling to my dry patches which can be off putting to some people. I do like to apply this foundation with my beauty blender for an even coverage.

I love the packaging which is so simple and provides a small guidance diagram on the back to show how you can get a flawless finish from the product. In addition, I love the fact the packaging clearly shows what colour you have rather than having to hunt around it to seek out what number and name you require. This foundation is available in six colours and I question whether L'Oreal would continue to provide further colours to suit other skin tones.

The foundation states that it has been clinically proven to be waterproof or steamproof, which would be an interesting experiment to have. I personally would not wear my makeup when exercising etc etc as in my view it is not very hygienic but it would be good if you go to the gym during your lunch break.

This foundation is value for money at £6,99 which is excellent value for money. Check out www.lorealparis.co.uk,

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter (peach lights) - I am loving the baked highlighters from Makeup Revolution. I think they are a great alternative if you cannot afford the Hourglass Ambient Powder. The colour is subtle and easily blend-able to add a discrete highlight to your face. I do love the peach tones to this highlighter which adds a small amount of colour that complements my skin tone. I would highly recommend this product if you are on a limited budget.

Available for £3.00 at www.makeuprevolutionstore.com

Daily Beauty Product (Wednesday 25 February 2015)

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo  - This is another product that came in either a Birchbox or Glossybox and I have not used. I am kicking myself as this is one of the few products that I am actually going to go and purchase the full size of. First of all, the smell is amazing and feels so luxious.

The shampoo contains shea butter, vitamin and apple / orange extracts which means the shampoo gently cleans your hair without stripping it. It has left my hair feeling soft, shiny and smooth. I would highly recommend. I know it may sound expensive, but you need such a small amount it is worth it. In addition, you can get the travel size (the size shown in picture) for £5.00. Buy it now!!!!

Available at 200ml - £10.00 www.lizearle.com

Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 24 February 2015)

Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute - I have been trying out this mask for the last couple of weeks and I simply love it. It is a perfect Sunday night pamper session. It left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth and was a perfect pick me up and a great start to the week. I have not really tried anything from the Nuxe brand but after using this I will definately be looking into other products. This product costs £18.50 and is available at www.nuxe.com

Daily Beauty Product (Saturday 21 February 2015)

Collection Eyes Uncovered (nude palette) - This is a new palette for Collection and they have two further palettes available. I have to say for the price £3.99 they are pretty good if you do not have a lot of money to spend on  makeup and so versatile. You could easily take a day look into the evening with this tiny palette. The shades are pigmented and smooth when you apply to the lid.

I think this would make an excellent first palette for those of your that are new to the overwhelming world of makeup and a great product to play around with.

Check out your local www.boots.com / www.superdrug.com or www.collectioncosmetics.co.uk for further details.

Daily Beauty Products (Friday 20 February 2015)

Nars Guy Bourdin Cinematic Eyeshadow (rage) - This eye shadow is just amazing, I know the colour may look a bit scary but actually once you apply it to your eyelid you can layer it to produce the colour in the pan or use a small amount which leaves an amazing subtle violet shade. The shadow glides on smoothly and there is no fall out. I just love it!!

The shadow costs £18.00 and is available at www.spacenk.com or www.narscosmetics.co.uk

Daily Beauty Products (Thursday 19 February 2015)

Dr. Jart+ BB Beauty Balm - Today, I am not feeling my best and I am looking to have a "no makeup, makeup day". This product is ideal for those days when you need a little pick me up when you are not feeling so hot. For me, I think the stresses of moving have caught up with me and I now look grey and full of cold. This product  has evened out my skin tone and added a small glow which I am loving. I also love the fact this has a high SPF which will be amazing in the summer, when it finally comes around.

Dr Jart stipulate that this product contains anti-aging properties which firm and hydrate your skin, which is a bonus as it is not clinging to any of the dry patches on my face.

For those of you that have never tried a BB cream, this is a great place to start with the amazing research and technology Dr Jart puts into each of their products you are in very safe hands.

This product retails at £24.00 and is available at your local Boots store or online at www.boots.com or check out www.drjart.com

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 18 February 2015)

I Heart Makeup (Makeup Revolution) Lip Lava - I was intrigued to try these as they look very similar to the Too Faced Melted Long Lasting Lipstick which are not the easiest to find and can be quite expensive. At the moment Makeup Revolution have an amazing deal on their website where you can buy all of the colours for £11.96 (you get one free) which is excellent value for money. I have the colour unleashed / shockwave / forgiven / firestorm and tremor. My initial impression is the colour pay off is amazing and they are highly pigmented and the price well, it just great value for money.

Check out http://www.makeuprevolutionstore.com/index.php/ for more details.

Daily Beauty Product (Tuesday 17 February 2015)

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit - I am not sure whether you saw my rant yesterday but I happened to be in a well known drug store yesterday trying to find this new contour kit and the store looked like a bomb had gone off. I was completely shocked that no one had bothered to tidy the shop up (bearing in mind I was in the store at 10am on a Monday morning). Anyway, I saw that they had the kit on display but they only had the tester available. So yes, I was very naughty and opened the drawers underneath the display. I am not at all sorry about it either, and there in the lovely clean drawer was ten of these untouched contour kits. I had a play around with it once I returned home and continue to have a play around with the products. I do think Barry M have spotted a gap in the market with this product and it is ideal for those of us who fear the thought of contouring and worry that it may be a "bit much". The kit provide you with a basic diagram which is a great "how to" guide and they also have additional guidance online. I also love the fact that you have been three products in one with the highlighter / bronzer and sculpt product. It is a great travel product to as it is compact and light. Well done Barry M I think you hit the nail on the head. Available at www.barrym.com for around £6.49.

Daily Beauty Products (Monday 16 February 2015)

Nude ProGenius - This is another product I had received in either a Birchbox or Glossy Box some time ago and have not tried it out. I am kicking myself as this is an amazing treatment oil which instantly absorbs into your skin. I have been using this in the evening after having a double cleanse and it has left my skin feeling hydrated and nourished. I love love love it. I do have sensitive skin and I have had no reaction whatsoever to this product. This is available at www.nudeskincare.com for £58.00 (the product in the picture is a sample size).

Daily Beauty Products (Saturday 14 February 2015)

Gosh Natural Blush (42 Melon) - What you may notice over the next few weeks I will be posting some of my classic favourites. Due to moving, and going through my vast makeup collection whilst packing I have found some products I had completely forgotten about. Gosh is another brand that I do not always look at when I go into Superdrug but their blushes are amazing. This is one of my favourites, it is the perfect natural blush for those days when you do not want to wear too much make up. The blush is light in texture and leaves you with a flawless complexion.

This blush is available at www.goshcosmetics.com for £7.99

Daily Beauty Product (Friday 13 February 2015)

Mini Superdrug Haul - Ok, I think I am just finding excuses to go and spend some money. I tell my husband I am going out and exploring as I am new to the area.

Whilst out "exploring" I stumbled upon a Superdrug so, I thought it would be rude not to have a look. I will review the products and show swatches on my website once I have given them a try.

I purchased:

  • Makeup revolution London Da de los Muertos eye shadow palette (£6.00 - makeuprevolutionstore.com)
  • Makeup revolution London Amazing Care Lipstick in Electric Love and Love Nude (£3.00 makeuprevolutionstore.com)
  • Sleek Highlighting Palette Precious Metals (£10.00 -sleekmakeup.com)
  • Sleek Eyebrow Stylist (£5.99 - sleekmakeup.com)

Daily Beauty Products (Thursday 12 February 2015)

New York Color Individual Eyes (945 Midtown Mauve)-The one good thing I have discovered with moving house is that I have rediscovered some hidden gems in my make up collection. This is one of them. I have to admit it when I go to Superdrug I often just walk past the New York Color counter without a second glance. However, I do recommend you to have a go on the eye shadow palettes.
I thought the aubergine colour was ideal for this time of year and today I am wearing a subtle smoky eye perfect for day wear. I am not keen on the primer / illuminator in the palette but I can overlook these as the eye shadows are amazing. There is no fall out and they glide on easily over the eye without any "tugging" at your eye lid.

When you are next in Superdrug I would strongly recommend you having a look at the counter and at £3.99 it is worth a try. Check out www.superdrug.com or newyorkcolor.com for further details.

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 12 February 2015)

So, as you previously know I am a military wife and I have just moved area with my husband. But, the joy of it is the fact I am surrounded by amazing shops. I was out exploring yesterday (my husband thought I was at the local recycling centre disposing of our moving rubbish) and happened to stumble on a Debenhams - I know the first week it is going to become expensive.

The Chanel sales advisor in Debenhams was so helpful and knowledgeable about the products and new products that are due to be released. I ended up purchasing one of the new quads from the Summer collection (236 Tisse Fantaisie). I have to say I own many palettes but the colours in this quad are beautiful especially the fern green shade - I cannot wait to try these out.

In addition, to my Chanel purchase I purchased two travel sizes from Urban Decay of the setting mist which I have heard so much about and can you believe it I have never tried the eye primer. The sales assistant in Urban Decay reassured me that I would no longer suffer with creases in my eye shadow, we shall see if she is right.

All my purchases are from www.debenhams.com

Daily beauty pick (Tuesday 10 February 2015)

Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder (52 Vanilla)- this is a new product released by Bourjois. I love this powder it is lightweight and does not leave the "cakey" look. It states it is an 8 hour mattifying powder which blurts imperfections. It did leave my skin looking  natural and did cover some minor imperfections but mainly it evened my skin tone out. For £8.99 it's a pretty good  product for the price you pay. Available at feelunique.com or www.bourjois.co.uk

Why I have not been blogging.......

I am sorry I have not been blogging my daily beauty picks but some life stuff has got in the way this past week or so.

One thing I have not told you is that I am a military wife and it was that time yet again to move home. I have spent the last week moving my life from one end of the country and today is the first time I actually feel like my married quarter feels like home.

I love my husband and would do anything for him but sometimes it can be scary and lonely existence being military wife. Also with the constant fear of "are we moving again" is always in the fore front of my mind. So I hope you forgive me for my absence but I will be returning on Monday with my daily picks.

Love
