Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 29 April 2015)

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer - I have to confess I am currently going through a stage of trying out as many primers as I possibly can. There are some great ones available on the High Street and at a great price. I use a primer to just prepare my skin for my daily's makeup and feel it is a great start and it also ensures that my makeup stays on for the whole day.

I was in Boots the other day and I had not realised that Revlon had available a primer in their photoready collection. It has probably been available for some time I have just not noticed it.

I am really impressed by this product, it does not feel too silicon like and leaves my skin ready for the rest of my make up. I only use a small amount but it does feel my skin feeling incredibly smooth and soft, I almost feel like I do not need to apply any more make up. The product contains a slight pink hint, which assists with evening out the skin colour. I have to say, I think I prefer this product then to Benefit Porefessional, yes I said it.

I do believe when it comes to primer's no matter how many reviews you read, it is very much down to personal preferences. I am afraid to say that I would encourage you to try as many as possible before you make a decision on which one you prefer. This product costs £11.99 and is available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 28 April 2015)

Selfridges Exclusive Beauty Box - At the moment there are some amazing beauty boxes available from many different companies. But, I have to say that Selfridges really know how to put together a beauty box and they have not let me down at all.

In this amazing box there are a variety of different brands some old ones that we all know and love but some new ones that I have been waiting to try. All the lovely products come in a large "dust bag" and are beautifully wrapped which just simply oozes class.

Within the box I received the following products:
- Obsessive compulsive cosmetics lip tar (Hollywood)
- Dermalogica conditioning body wash
- The Konjac Sponge
- Lancaster Tan Maximizer
- Illamasqua mascara
- Kiehls ultra facial cleanser
- Verso night cream
- OPI nail lacquer (tickle my fancy)
- Nars larger than life long wear eyeliner

Whoever, picked out the products needs a pat on their back as the choice is just exceptional and well thought out.

I cannot wait until Selfridges decides to bring out their next beauty box. Check out the Selfridges website.

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder (720a Sunny) - If you are in need of a new bronzer, my advice have a look at the NYC counter. I am not sure whether you are like me, but I don't usually spend my time having a look at the NYC products, I am not sure why I don't as they have many hidden gems there.

In addition, if you are a bit scared about bronzer being a bit much this is the product for you. It provides a subtle highlight to your face (if you apply in the shape of a three) it provides the perfect hint of the sun shine hitting your face without looking over done. I am not overly keen on the packaging as feels clumsily put together but for £1.99, I can't really complain.

My advice to NYC is that you need to shout from the rooftops the amazing products you have available. This bronzer is available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Sunday 26 April 2015)

Bruzz (the most hygienic nail brush) - When I was asked to try this product out, I have to say that sadly I did jump at the chance. I regularly do my own gel manicure and when I soak them off I do like to give them a good scrub in preparation for the new gel nails.

This amazing product was created by a beauty therapist and form cabin crew member for British Airways. Emma, was driven to develop  new kind of nail brush following years spent working with British Airways where meticulously clean nails were an essential part of the job and after dealing with lots of inferior brushes when trying to clean her cent's nails in her nail salon.

This brush cleans the top, underside and tip of the nail in one simple action and the antibacterial bristles have vanilla extract contained on them which leaves your nails not only feeling healthy and smelling amazing.

So, if you are like me and permanently have gel or acrylic nails I would highly recommend this product to be part of your manicure. I love the fact my nails feel so prepared for the new manicure. The additional factor what I love is that once you add a small amount of soap on to the bristles you don't get sprayed with the grime or soap like you would do with other brushes.

This product is attracting rave reviews on both Amazon and Boots and at £9.99 is a bit more pricey then other nail brushes but is definitely worth the money as a welcomed addition to my manicure preparation. The nail brush is available here.

Why have I not been blogging...........................

2True Eyeshadow Quad (shade 1) - 2True is always a stand that I walk past never look at, I am not really sure why I don't. I saw this amazing neutral palette the other day and simply had to pick it up. The colours blend beautifully and last all day. There are two other palettes available, one more of grey tones and the other purple, so there is a palette for pretty much anyone. I would recommend this palette and it is available at your local Superdrug and at £3.49 it is a complete bargain.

Field Day is a limited edition range so head to your local Boots or Superdrug store now. There are three colours available within this range. Pink rose is a beautiful rich colour which is matte but still feels hydrating, and looks amazing especially now Summer is fast approaching. This lipstick only costs £2.99 and is available here.

No 7 Soft Damson Natural Blush - Another blush that I had completely forgotten about. This blush does not look much in the pan, but boy oh boy is it beautiful once applied. I do think a alot of beauty bloggers forget how good the products can be from No 7.

This blush is rich with vitamin E and B5 which cares and conditions your skin. You all should try this blush as it will suit all skin types and at £8.00 is a reasonable price to pay. Soft damson is available at Boots now.

Daily Beauty Products (Tuesday 14 April 2015)

Diva Professional Styling hair straighteners (red) - I was definitely in the market for a pair of new hair straighteners and when I was asked to try these out I jumped at the chance.

I have to confess that when these arrived, my husband did comment about the packaging and felt that they looked like every other hair straightener on the market. But, upon reading further on the box did compliment the fact that in addition to the hair straighteners you got a heat mat (I think he was concerned that I was going to burn a hold or damage something) - PS he always looks for practicality in products.

I love the fact the ceramic plates on the straighteners are coated with Argan Oil, which I felt helped with protecting my hair from the heat. In addition, you can adjust the heat from 120 to 220 degrees and they heat up so quickly which when you are busy is a bonus.

Now, do not judge but the other feature I love about this product is how long the cable is (3m) which is great as many of the electronic hair products I have tried have really short cables which can be unhelpful especially when you are travelling.

Since, trying these out I would definitely purchase more products from the brand and at £39.99 excluding VAT they are a great price. These I would recommend and they come in a lot of different colours and are available here.

Daily Beauty Products (Monday 13 April 2015)

Sleek Blush (Suede) - At the moment, I am really loving a subtle natural look especially as we head towards the Summer months. I stumbled on this blush whilst I was shopping in Superdrug the other day. This shade is very unusual as you could potentially use this as a bronzer, but this blush provides a subtle glow which is long lasting and simply just beautiful. As with all Sleek products, the quality is high but the prices remain affordable which is what I most admire about the Sleek brand they really know their customers. This blush is available on the Superdrug website.

Daily Beauty Product (Friday 10 April 2015)

Insta Natural Youth Express Vitamin C Moisturiser - I have been looking for a new moisturiser for sometime. I am at the stage where I am too old for the youth moisturisers and too young for the anti-wrinkle creams so I do spend a lot of time looking at the skin care products when I go out shopping. So, I was intrigued to try this moisturiser out. The moisturiser is rich in vitamin C and has many antioxidants which are great for your skin. I have been using this product for over two weeks in the morning as at the moment I need a richer night cream but in the summer I definitely would be using this in the evening. A little goes a long way as on the first day, I did apply far to much and found it difficult to rub it, but by day two I learnt to just use a small amount.

I am going to continue to use this product as it helps with my morning dry patches and is a great base for my daily makeup. It also leaves my skin looking fresh, smooth and bright and most importantly hydrated.

Insta Natural have definitely thought the packaging through as it comes in a handy pump which I love because it means that it will remain hygienic and less messy. In addition there is great information about the product and the benefits clearly documented. This product is available on Amazon now.

Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Renewing Rose Cleanser - I have recently been trying to find a new cleanser as I have somehow ended up finishing two within a week of one another. I found this cleanser in my stash of samples and had completely forgotten that I had it.

I adore Aromatherapy Associates bath oils and was excited to try the cleanser out. It is very gentle and definitely removed all the dirt and grime of the day. The cleanser is beautifully subtly rose scented which is not overwhelming. I was impressed, as the cleanser left my skin feeling fresh and bright. The cleanser contains Jojoba which cleanses your skin, rose which works to keep the skin looking radiant and healthy and geranium essential oil which balances your skin's natural oils.

The packaging as per Aromatherapy Associates is classy and simple which I just simply adore. This cleanser is available on the Aromatherapy Associates website.

Daily Beauty Products (Wednesday 8 April 2015)

L'Oreal Colour Riche Greige Amoureux (632) - Can I just say to L'Oreal bravo for the variety of lipstick shades they currently have available. But, I do have a tiny issue with L'Oreal lipsticks and that is the smell it is an acquired taste but I do overlook this as the lipsticks are beautiful. As L'Oreal are celebrating 30 years of their iconic lipsticks from this particular range they have produced a further fourteen new shades to the collection and boy, you will find it a struggle to decide which one to purchase.

Griege Amoureux is a subtle pinkish / nude and as the saying goes "my lip colour but better". I shudder every time someone says that but in this case it is true. When I originally swatched it in the shop it did come across as quite glittery but actually once you have it on your lips it is very complimentary to your day look and you do not need to worry about looking like a disco ball.

What can I say about the packaging, it is sleek and sophisticated and does not feel like you have just purchased a drug store product. And my additional love about the packaging there is a satisfactory "click" when the lid is on so there will be no worries about the lid escaping whilst it is in your handbag.

My recommendation to you is to go and have a look at the counter and there will be a shade that you will fall for even if it is not the one that I am recommending to you. Check out the L'Oreal website for further details on the colours available.

H and M Blusher Rouge - I always forget that you can buy cosmetics in H and M and they are pretty good. I was drawn to this product as it look very similar to the blushes made by Physicians Formula. This blush provides a beautiful pink glow but not too scary due to the different shades within the palette. My advice for your all is to have a look in your local H and M and check out the makeup that is available or check out H and M website.

Daily Beauty Products (Sunday 5 April 2015)

Bourjois Universal Illuminating Powder - I have been sorting out my makeup collection recently and have been using some classic pieces that I had forgotten about.

This is one of my favourite illuminating powders and it is a real classic, bearing in mind this is a classic product made by Bourjois. I love it under my eyes and I use it as a cheek highlighter when I wear minimal makeup. Its not too glittery but provides a subtle highlight to add definition to your face. This power is so versatile and suits all skin types. This is one product I think should be in your makeup bag.

I do not need to say anything further about the packaging it is just beautiful. This product costs £9.99 and is available on the Boots website.

Daily Beauty Products (Saturday 4 April 2015)

Benefit High Beam - I love the travel sizes from Benefit as it is an ideal opportunity for anyone to try a product without having to purchase the full size version and when travelling it saves a lot of space carrying a small bottle around.

I do have a love hate relationship with this product it is amazing but most of the time I do prefer using a powder highlight (it is my own personal preference). However, there are other days when I love using this product. High Beam provides a beautiful glow and I usually put it on my cheek bones, cupid bow and just under my eyebrows to add definition. The great thing about this product is that it does last all day so I do not have to continually reapply which is a definite plus point. The full size product costs £19.50 and is available on the Benefit website.

Daily Beauty Products (Friday 3 April 2015)

Eylure Lash Voluminous False Lash Blending Mascara - I have a confession, I have never used Eylure mascara, I know as a beauty blogger question why I have not tried. The wand suits me and captures each of my lashes and provides amazing volume as well as thickens them up. The wand really grabs and provides product evenly over each and every individual lash and does not clump. The mascara costs £10.16 and is available on Eylure website.

Daily Beauty Products (Thursday 2 April 2015)

NYX Anti Diva Eye Shadow Palette - I really do love NYX products and I think it is great that they are more readily available on line. The blue is not my usual colour and looks quite daunting in the pan, however, the blue is beautiful and soft and looks amazing blended into the lid. I was concerned I would look like I was from the 90s but it is more sophisticated but with a hint of fun. The shadows are highly pigmented and blend easily with little to no fall out.

My advice, is to spend some time having a look over the NYX website as they have some amazing products, but be warned you may end up spending a lot of money. This palette costs £6.00, check out NYX website for more detail.

Daily Beauty Product (Wednesday 1 April 2015)

Helena Rubinstein Sun Powder - I really wish Helena Rubinstein products were more readily available as Helena and the brand really know how to make cosmetics and of course the Rubinstein brand is steeped in history.

This powder provides me with an amazing sun kissed glow and I use this dual purpose as a bronzer and some times as a blush, It is ideal for my skin type as it provides warmth without the muddy look and there is a hint of shimmer to assist with a beautiful glow. I am begging please Helena Rubinstein please make your products available they are simply amazing. Check out Helena Rubinstein for further detail on products.
